    Other than the advantage of the home pitch, Pacos have nothing else going for them in this game. The home pitch didn't help them much against Benfica in the past since the visitors won the last 9 games here and 19 out of the last 20 head-to-head games. The only draw the played was the Cup second leg game after Benfica won the first one convincingly. In each of those 19 wins, Benfica scored at least 2 goals because Pacos often score as well. Regarless of whether Benfica will actually need two goals to win today, that option seems to be the best one at this game even though you can go with -1 and the slightly more risky win at the visitors + 2.5 over (Marathon, 2.34). Pacos have conceded at least one goal in each of their championship game since September, while Benfica scored in each. Pacos have been conceding more goals lately, while Benfica started scoring more and according to the stats, Pacos always conceded while Befica always scored as many goals as necessary for this bet in the championship. If Benfica can beat Porto 2-0, Maritimo 4-0 and more defense-oriented teams like Moreirense and Academica, Pacos' poor defense won't be able to stop them. Pacos can't count on defender Rafael, while Benfica's top scorer Talisco is back after missing the League Cup game with a suspension. Details

    Nykombing conceded 32 goals to both Silkeborg and Randers in the last two games and I don't see a reason to not believe in Esbjerg who have the best offense in the Danish league. Esbjerg will be just as efficient today or even better. Estevana Polman, last season's top scorer is leading their attack. Two great right backs Heijden and Bjorndalen are there too. Nykobing are having injury struggles at this moment, with only 8 players to count on, which disables them from keeping up with opponents' fast transition and sees them concede a lot of goals. Handicap at Esbjerg is a good option as well but Esbjerg will need at least 29-30 goals to go over that margin, which is why I'm going with the individual total at Esbjerg that is available mostly with online bookies (marathon, unibet, 888sport, betcity).     Panathinaikos are doing much worse away than home this season. They already lost two championship games and recorded their last away Euroleague win over two months ago. I think they they won't have an easy job today because they are meeting a team that brought down Olympiacos home early in the season. I was deciding between the counter-handicap and under at Panathinaikos, but since the margin at handicap is in decline, decided for this option. Besides, Panathinaikos is capable of playing good defense and limit Kifisia to smaller numbers but I don't think they can score over 80 points. The last time visitors went over this margin in a road game away almost three months ago, going over only against Trikala and Kolosos very early in the season (81). They scored 76 against Kifisia home. The home took a huge pressure off their chest last week against Panonios, which was one of their two games in the season in which they conceded over this margin, as a consequence of the first very productive half (more than 100 points scored). They will try and come up with the kind of performance from the Olypmiacos game - stay close till the last quarter and then try and win in the finish. Kifisia managed to limit Olympiacos to 67 points, while Panathinaikos scored 77 after a thriller-finish against Apollon last week. They scored 72 against Koroivos, 54 against PAOK and I expect 70, 75 points max from them today. Details

    If the circumstances surrounding this game were normal, these odds could work, but given the circumstances, they are completely off. Russia have failed miserably here, didn't qualify for round of 16 and will definitely be affected by it. We can't claim they're a complete mess but the fact Kulesov already said he's quitting after the WC says is all. Who know how motivated they will be today? The game is not important for them and Russians are not like Germans or the Scandinavians, like their second half against Saudi Arabia proved. They were walking around the court and couldn't wait for the game to end. Kulesov said he'd be reshuffling the team today and, meaning his top player probably won't spend 50 minutes in the game. As for CzR, they are very motivated, Jicha said they want President's Cup title and the last game with Algeria proved other share his wish, even though they knew there was no change of advancing to round of 16. Unlike Russia, who lost the last 4 games, CzR are in high spirits after 2 convincing wins. They destroyed Iceland and I think they're being way underrated here. Details

    When talking about the top contenders for medals, the four teams that have been ruling world handball the last few years are always brought up. But, given their performances so far, Sweden are definitely deserved to be regarded as a favorite for top spots. They did the group stage very well, struggled with Egypt and should have beat the French if it wasn't for that bad final period. Kim Andersson is back on the team today, this is the key game, and I think Sweden will be at their best. They have the top defense of the WC, they are diverse in offense and this should be a game very different to the one Poland and Sweden played in Denmark a year ago. Poland has done nothing to impress me, having lost to Germany and Denmark and recorded narrow wins over Argentina and Russia in very close games. I think they don't possess the quality that could see them stand up to mighty Sweden and they struggle with injuries a lot. Lijewski and probably Chrapowski are set to miss this game. Details

    I definitely can't ignore what Brengle's been doing at the season beginning. She's playing the best tennis of her career, and feels super confident on the court, so the 14 wins in three tournaments can't be a coincidence. She showed against Coco that she can deal with that type of tennis, just like what's waiting for her today. Keys defeated Kvitova, got a big win, but everyone knows that the conditions in Melbourne never suited the Czech. Brengle can deal with Key's strength with her firmness, like she did against Coco. Brengle's advantage here is definitely the fact that she didn't have to get ready for a different style of tennis. She'll face another strong player, both on the serve and the strength of her hits. You can't say the same for Keys. Brengle is firm and stable in the rallies, she won't score plenty of winners, but she definitely knows how to pull things forward. That definitely doesn't suite Keys, especially because she'll have to work harder to get points. Keys is deemed too much of a favorite here, because of her win against Kvitova. But, it's really hard to justify that role in the following match, and Brengle should definitely not be underestimated, especially because she flew "under the radar" so far. Details

    I've seen both these teams a lot this season, and I wouldn't agree with the bookmakers about the Pelicans being nearly as good as the Dallas guys, especially not with this lineup. The home team will play without their point guard Jrue Holliday, and the great scorer Ryan Anderson will probably be out as well, and his three-pointers bring quality to the Pelicans' offense. You could see in Minneapolis how much these two mean, they scored only 92 against the worst defense of the league. They didn't score over 96 in the last five, and in that period, they played against the LA Lakers (they conceded 106.3), the Knicks (100.8), the Raptors (100.6), and the 76ers (107.9). Ok, Mavs aren't a defensive force, either, but they are offensive (107.9), and I think they'll score enough here to leave New Orleans with the win. Besides, they won nine of last ten duels, including both this season where the Pelicans had a much better lineup than tonight, Details

    In a high tempo match with a high score, an over on Blake Griffin seems a very solid option. At first sight this pick might not be so well backed by stats, although he has three out of four overs (30, 34, 22, 24), but one must consider that the Clippers close out quite a few matches prior to the last quarter, which Griffin then views from the bench. In derbies he scores much better, averaging 25.0 against teams from the West, with his average rising to 26.1 against division rivals. He scored 45 (13/24) in his last game against the Suns, including a winning three pointer.
