    Even though Portugal are huge outsiders of this game in terms of odds, there are many reasons why I believe the Swedes are not such favorites. This EC is played in Portugal. The Swedes beat Portugal in the first round of EC but the Scandinavians don't have their main players like Eriksson, Hanson or Mirković. Sweden's performances have been very variable in preparations. They beat not so convincing Netherlands by 55-51 and weakened Belgium by 65-60, but they lost against Poland and Russia by a convincing margin, and they lost against Latvia at the Baltic Cup, and Latvia are in Division B. They struggled a lot in three games against Lithuanians, especially in offense. Portugal have played their three games without two main centers Kostourkova and Guimaraes, who are their main players. They have recently played U-20 EC in Division B and got great figures and helped their team get promoted. The only game in which Portuguese had a full squad was the one against France two days ago which France won by a narrow margin of 63-61. Details

    When two teams of similar quality and similarly handicapped and limited attacks meet with the desire of getting a good position for the second leg, it's hard to expect an attractive game and that's the case today. Metalurg have a young and inexperienced team with 7-8 players under the age of 22 but they still managed to keep a clean sheet in the first two legs against Santa Coloma. Željezničar struggled in two games against Lovćen and they barely scored 1 goal. They have no quality nor offensive prowess and it's very likely to expect them to expect to settle this in the second leg. This has all the makings of a hard, rough and boring game and the logical bet here is that we won't see 3 goals here, while the braver punters can go with 1 or 0 goals here as well. Details

    Molde is the best team in Norway who have lost only 1 out of 15 last games. They are playing great, they have four consecutive wins and they rarely lose at home. They're running at full speed and they are facing a team who still haven't gotten into competitive rhythm and a team that is much weaker in comparison to last season. They are without their first-choice keeper Cordaz, along with Loda, Lapadula, Misuraca, Bazzofia, Živec and Boniperti - 6 of their top scorers from last season who scored 48 goals between themselves. Apolloni has players in his squad who have a total of 19 European games in their careers and Gorica's coach is aware that things are far from ideal. Molde seem too good not to settle this game at home. Details

    When you look at the preparations and their roster, Poland definitely are a team that can hope to reach U-19 competition next year as they have to reach Top 5 here. At a strong tournament in Reze, France, Poland lost only against Belgium (51-61). After that they beat Russia (78-56), Sweden (61-47) and Croatia (75-54). They played two more games in Troyes against strong France. They won the first game by 52-50 and they lost the second by 53-61 even though they were down by only 53-55 with 20 seconds to go. At home they faced Lithuania and put up very convincing performances (78-51, 84-39). The Dutch did poorly in preparations. At the mention Reze tournament, they beat France but lost to Croatia (41-59), Turkey (45-69) and Sweden (51-55). Two days before this EC started, they lost by 20 points against Belgium and before that by 42-70 against the Czech Republic, although they got two narrow wins against the Czechs as well. They are without two important players from last year and this generation won 12th and 14th spot in earlier tournaments, which is not too convincing. Details

    When the odds came out for this match, I immediately decided to go for Asteras. I know both teams very well and I believe the Greeks are much stronger, so much so that these initial odds have nothing to do with the real state of things. The odds have been corrected since then but everything above 1.80 on Asteras winning the game has a value, but I will opt for a different and a bit more cautious bet, simply because there is the second leg in which Asteras can crush the Finns by a few goals if necessary. Rovaniemi are a team with a solid defensive approach and they know very well that every attempt to outplay their opponents will not end well. Their goal is to close the game down as much as possible and try to look for their chances with an away goal in the second leg. Asteras need no introduction, they're a typical Greek team, that is, they're even one of the tougher and more closed Greek teams, which says enough. In addition, they have some new players for today and the teams has not been fully organized, which is why they will play a slower, more disciplined game rather than rushing in too fast. Coupled with the weather report for Rovaniemi, I don't think there will be too many goals. With this bet, I believe the hosts will not score and even if they do score, this still has a good chance of going through. Details

    I think the Finns have not chance here, not today, not in the second leg to through. Dynamo have been great this season, they hold the top spot in their league with 3 points more than BATE Borisov and their current form is amazing - they won last 7 games and have kept a clean sheet in last 6. Myllykoski face d a team from the Faroed Islands and I expected them to go through by 3-4 goals, but they barely managed to win, they completely flopped and that's nowhere near Dynamo's level in my opinion. The Belarus team is fighting for the title, they don' need any complications in this fixture against the Finns and I believe they will put in a good shift today so they can take things more easily in the second. I had my doubts about a handicap and the away team not scoring, but since the odds on the handicap are higher and the chances are practically the same, I've decided to take the first option. Details

    This margin is definitely too low for Muller's match regardless of the fact whom he's up against. He is the type of player that Veger will have a hard time getting a break against and he can struggle on return against anyone. Filip has played 8 hard court matches in last two weeks and he is in a good rhythm. Of course, he's a worse player, a huge outsider and he will struggle to get a set, but he needs to take only 6 games for this bet to go through, even 5 in some combinations. Out of 41 wins on challenger level this season, Muller got through this margin in only 4 matches. He's not a classic crushing player, not to mention his problems on the return with his unreasonable and aggressive performances. Again, Veger may not win a set, but he should be able to take three games per set. Details

    Kanepi played her first match this month on July 2nd and 15 days later, she's playing her 12th match so fatigue has to take its toll. Larsson didn't know how to make use of it even though she was up by 5-2 in the third set and had two match points and she admitted that she alone let Kanepi get back into the match. Hogenkamp convincingly beat Schmiedlova here, regardless of the fact that she has struggled with her form lately (1 win in 6 matches). Hogenkamp has shown the same consistent level during her match, she was aggressive, concentrated and didn't have any huge downfalls in her performance, which cannot be said for Kanepi. The surface doesn't work to Kanepi's favor as the courts are getting dryer and dryer and the surface gets slower while the balls bounce higher and Kanepi struggles with that. Hogenkamp has had 25 wins on clay this season, she played 2 ITF finals and is coming here with the best ranking of her career after the first WTA wins this season and she has nothing to lose. Too many things speak against Kanepi for us not to bet here. Details

    Machado is the favorite here, no doubt about that, but some things still speak in favor of the Pole. First, he took a win against strong Andreas Beck in the first round, without allowing a single break chance. On the other hand, Machado barely made it against Albot in the first round as he was down by a set and then by a break in the third set. He was too relaxed on his serve and that could backfire today. Kapas is a worse defensive player, but he has a good serve, strong strokes and he'll not give many chances on the return. Machado complained about fatigue after Portorož due to injured leg. The Pole said he loves this tournament and the organizers put him in central court. Even though he's not a challenger player, he has what it takes to play them, but his physical fitness and inconsistency are his problem. He managed to do well against Beck and for this bet to go through, he doesn't have to play well in the entire match, just one set. The Pole can even win but I think he has a very good chance of getting at least one set. Details

    Croatia are a few steps better than France and I'm fairly certain they'll show that. If just a win were enough for them, I wouldn't even make this bet as beating someone by 6-7 goals is just a matter of motivation, but Croatia will certainly be motivated as their draw against Spain might mean that goal difference could decide the team to go into the quarterfinals. This is Croatia's last chance to do this. France conceded 12 against Hungary, who were asleep in the first two periods, and the conceded 16 against Serbia, while the weak Russian team scored 15 in a friendly match. Details

But mistakes are still an integral part of her performance. Soler is a tricky player for clay, especially in conditions in Bastad in last few days. She beat Arvidsson after three sets yesterday, the first set went into tie-break. This is a tricky matchup for Goerges but I think it's time for her to wake up and I believe she will not go down without a fight today. On the other hand, Soler will have a thing or two to say today as well. This is a match that should end in three sets and it's hard to see one player having the advantage. Details
