Rostov believe they can get points in Moscow

Rostov are not doing well lately, but Spartak have been going through a rough patch too, giving the visitors hope they can get points here

Spartak constantly fail to bring down a great team lately. They have played four great games recently, three of which ended as draws (Zenit, Lokomotiv, Kuban) and one as a defeat (Lokomotiv 1-0 last round).

Both Lokomotiv and Spartak coaches said their sides will try and win, their approach was very cautious and turned out to be a success for Lokomotiv in the end. Spartak are, when looking at the big picture, headed for not qualifying for Europe this season. The win is a necessity for the Moscow-based club as they currently hold position 7 in the table.

- We beat Rostov both times last season, but neither win was easy. They are in a tough situation as well and are looking to be as successful as possible before the break. We'll need to be very careful - Spartak's defender Dmitri Kombarov said.

Only center back Insaurralde Spartak will have to do without today is worth mentioning. 

Rostov managed to record a win late October, but then went on to play the next few bleak games. They met direct rivals Ufa, Torpedo and Amkar and managed to get only two points. On top of that, financial problems surfaced, making the tough situation even tougher ahead of a very challenging away game.

- I've seen Lokomotiv take on Spartak. It was very clear that both teams struggle with the pitch and that none wanted to lose. Spartak didn't manage to use their chances, unlike Lokomotiv, who also got a bit more lucky - Rostov's forward Bukharov said and added:

- Spartak will definitely try and win to get on the right track, which will leave us with some more room. I'm sure we do stand a chance against them.

- Spartak are a great team this season, but something seems to be missing there. We don't have to be afraid, each team in the league is entitled to hope when facing them - visiting midfielder Maxim Grigoryev said.

Rostov will have all the players at their disposal today, except for the less important Yoo Bin-Soo.
