Karsiyaka have put together a great team this season. The backbone of the team, which has for some time now consisted of Dixon, Diebler and Hersek, got supported by Strawberry and Palacios, who meshed perfectly with the team and reinforced it in key positions. Their arrival benefited Karsiyaka primarily on defense, but also in rebounding. They've had an impressive start this season, beating Banvit twice and Fenerbahce once, both Euroleague teams. PAOK have also won games, but against much weaker teams, and even there they haven't exactly impressed. Their biggest loss this season is Cooper, their first point guard, which is something they'll struggle to cover for this season. They brought solid Americans from the local pool, but they are not the top level crew you need to win an away match such as this one. Karsiyaka are one of the most unpleasant away matches in Turkey with huge pressure, which will only multiply due to the traditional animosity between the Greeks and Turks. The quality balance is tipped heavily in favor of Karsiyaka, plus their team is more tuned up, so I expect a decisive performance by the Turks at the opening of the Eurocup.
