When you share the division with the current champions (Seahawks), and conference finalists (49ers), you definitely don't have room for mistakes. Arizona Cardinals obviously get that completely, they lead the NFC West after six games played. 

- I know we're not special. One of the things we've been saying the whole week is that we can never underestimate the opponent or overestimate ourselves. We still didn't do anything, except for having 5-1 ratio. There's still a lot of football to be played - coach Bruce Ariens warned.

His team got their third consecutive win in Oakland last Sunday, easily celebrating 24-13. Carson Palmer completed 22 out of 31 assists for 253 yards and two touchdowns with one cut in the second game since his recovery from a shoulder injury. How important he is for the team is confirmed by the fact that the Cardinals won ten out of the last twelve games when he started, and in those, he got 97.8 passer rating.

- We lost some games last year we shouldn't have lost, and it cost us the playoffs. This year, we won those games because we learned from our mistakes. This is just a part of what we can do. I think that, as we're getting ready, we're defining my time here, as well as for the whole team - the Cards QB said. They started with the 3-4 ratio last year, and won seven out of the next nine games, but it wasn't enough for the playoffs.

The "desert" team with Palmer as the QB has 361.7 yards compared to 273.0 in three games he missed because of his injury. Malcolm Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald are the crop of the cream offensively, and the running back Andre Ellington is one of the most versatile players in his position. 

- They've got many weapons and do different things to make sure all the guys get the ball - the guest coach, Chip Kelly, said.

Not to be confused, the Cardinals success doesn't depend just on the offense, but the defense, too. They did a decent job so far even though they missed a few great players. John Abraham, Darnell Dockett, Daryl Washington, Calais Campbell, and Matt Shaughnessy are all elite defensive players whose absence can't be made up for.

How good the home team are defensively will be shown in the game against Philadelphia Eagles who come into the eighth week with only one defeat. They should be well rested because they didn't play since they crushed the Giants on October 12th, 27-0. Besides getting ready for the rest of the season, the guys from the city of brotherly love used the time to regenerate. Their super fast running back Darren Sproles should be ready today, he injured his knee against the Giants.

- I'm okay. I thought it was worse, but I did MR, and I feel pretty well now - Sproles said.

Him, and the well recovered LeSean McCoy will have a tough job against the defense that limits the opponent running backs to only 72.5 yards.

- They've got great players. Obviously, the defensive coordinator Todd (Bowles) does a great job. His schemes are almost unique. They mix a lot of stuff and confuse their opponents, but they also have really good players who know how to complete their tasks - the offensive guru, Kelly, pointed out.

The guests' defense will be stronger because the linebacker Mychal Kendricks is back. He's been recovering from calf injury for four weeks. The Eagles are decent enough defensively to slow down the home team, but for them, the running backs' productivity will be crucial because they definitely don't want to put Nick Foles in a situation where he has to throw 35-40 times against the opportunistic Cardinals' secondary.

The Eagles outplayed the Cardinals 24-21 at home last year, but including the playoffs, they lost seven out of the last nine matches in the desert.
