Well-rested Inter looking to get three points in Verona

After a disastrous start to the season and the inevitable sacking of coach Corini, Chievo's recent results suggest Maran managed to stabilize the team. Chievo are undefeated in the last 5 games, during which period Maran's team conceded only 2 goals. Following last week's win over Caglieri, Chievo managed to exit the danger zone for the first time this season. It was a win over their direct rival in the battle for avoiding relegation, in which Chievo settled the game after only ten minutes and two fast goals that stunned Cagliari in Sardini. The game we saw following those two goals tuned into a war which resulted in the referee booking 9 players.

Inter are in a crisis and Maran hopes his team will keep the crisis going:

- I saw my team work with determination and the will to sacrifice for the greater good. The enthusiasm we generated when beating Cagliari has to gives that extra boost of energy in the tough game with Inter. The players want to prove themselves on the pitch. Inter cannot stay in this spot in the table, but I don't know whether their current position is the reflection of their performances. It's strange to see them in the bottom part of the table. but we can't focus on making our status better.

Chievo's coach isn't struggling with any injuries, but after the numerous bookings in Sardinia, defender Frey and center back Zukanovic are to miss this meeting with suspensions. Chievo's coach has a few decisions to make ahead of the meeting with Inter - Hetemaj and Cofie are are fighting for the spot in midfield, Cesar and Dainelli for the center back position.
