Baghdatis without a win since Januray

Bagdatis did rather well in some of the defeats but the fact his bad run is still going remains. He lost to Sela last week. Kohlschreiber is definitely a more dangerous opponent on grass court, especially when playing home

Kohlschreiber

He was always someone who does his best home. Out of the 7 titles he has, 5 were won in Germany. He lost another 9 ATP finals, 5 of which in Germany. It's no wonder he managed to reach the final at this tournament last season. He was unstoppable until the meeting with Thiem who, in the meantime, got into Top 10. Kohlschreiber's ranking, on the other hand, dropped. He is no longer seeded at Grand Slams and has just one win at the last 4 tournaments. He lost to Kyrgios at Ronald Garros in straight sets:

- His serve made the difference. He won a lot of easy points on it. As far as the game itself is concerned, it wasn't far off. 

He added that he might play the challenger in Prostejov because he needs more matches but didn't go there in the end, which means he's defending the points here without proper rhythm. 

Baghdatis

He already played the first match on grass court and lost it to Sela in straight sets. Sela should have been a favorable draw but Baghdatis still recorded his 7th straight defeat. He doesn't have a win since January when Youzhny retired. He had problems with injuries himself which means his bad run isn't caused by bad game only:

- It's not easy at the moment. I've had a long break, I lost a lot of matches and there is no confidence. Experience saves me because I know I can't lose my cool. I don't see the defeat as a defeat. It's a lesson that I try to learn from.

He is 5-2 against Kohlschreiber in H2H matches and has won both on grass court. Both were played 10 years ago. They played just once in the last 7 years so most of the h2h matches isn't really relevant anymore. Baghdatis has not been in such a crisis for a long time. We need to see how much motivation he has for another comeback.
