Anderson made a comeback from 1-2 for Paris 4th round. He has 12 clay court wins this season, which means he played more than normally in these conditions. Cilic has not dropped a single set in 11 clay court wins this season

Not even Lopez could stand in his way. What is espeically impressive is the fact he didn't have goof first serve and that he still limited the Spaniard to just 7 games. Lopez forced Murray into 20 games and Djokovic into 22 this season.

- Roland Garros is very demanding physically. That is why it's crucial that I played three convincing matches in the first week. I have enough energy for the second one. 

The win over Lopez was his 100th on clay court:

- That's a nice number and motivation to go on. 

He is now to face a good server for whom clay is definitely not the first choice:

- Anderson is top 10 and he suffered an injury. He is a very tricky player and is getting back on track. It will be tough. 

Marin won 5 out of 6 games but their clay court record is tied.

The longest clay court season he's ever had is paying off. He played 5 tournaments until Paris and got into the 4th round here for the third time. He never went further than that but the meeting with Edmund in which he came back from a 1-2 deficit is definitely encouraging. 

- Edmund is a great player, especially on clay court. It all boiled down to a few points and I'm very happy about getting through.

Good footwork and 24 aces need to be pointed out. However, he is just 4-19 against Top20 players on clay court. One of those wins is against Cilic and he beat Kyrgios in the second round here.
